What Every NBA Team Should Be Thankful For This Holiday Season

If you're like me, you've already started dreaming about Thanksgiving. I know some of you may be stuck in the cubes these next few days, but as far as I'm concerned as soon as the calendar hits November my brain starts dreaming out the best day of the year. Thanksgiving is a big time holiday in the Greenie household, where it is basically a house rule that nobody eats or drinks a goddamn thing until the festivities begin. The self torture is what makes everything taste so good, look it up. Well part of Thanksgiving is saying what you're thankful for, and while it's mostly bullshit that you make up on the spot just to get the process over with, I figured why not apply that to NBA teams and what they should be thankful for so far this season.

Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks should be thankful that John Collins didn't give any of his drugs to Trae Young

Boston Celtics

The Celtics should be thankful that Kemba Walker is OK and that Kyrie & Co took their bullshit to other teams.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets should be thankful they also have Kevin Durant because the early returns on Kyrie Irving as your #1 have been uh.....not great.

Charlotte Hornets

The Hornets should be thankful that Devonte Graham turned into a legit stud

Chicago Bulls

The Bulls should be thankful that Zach LaVine came back from his ACL injury better than ever and uses the hatred of his coach as motivation to dominate offensively.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavs should be thankful nobody really watches their games after LeBron left so they haven't noticed Darius Garland's slow ass start.

Dallas Mavericks

The Mavs should be thankful the Hawks said "we accept" when they offered the trade for Luka.

Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets should be thankful their entire core is locked up until the summer of 2022 at the earliest

Detroit Pistons

The Pistons should be thankful that Derrick Rose fell into their laps this summer as he is currently averaging 17.8/1.9/5.1 on 53/42% shooting and is probably the best guard on the roster.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors should be thankful they sold their season tickets for their new arena well in advance of this disaster season

Houston Rockets

The Rockets should be thankful that we are already at Thanksgiving and James Harden and Russell Westbrook haven't killed each other yet.

Indiana Pacers

The Pacers should be thankful that the Bucks thought it was a better idea to pay George Hill than Malcolm Brogdon

LA Clippers

The Clippers should be thankful Kawhi ain't no bitch and didn't want to live in LeBron's shadow.

LA Lakers

The Lakers should be thankful for Klutch Sports, because without them none of their season happens.

Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies should be thankful for one of the strongest and most encouraging young cores in the entire league.

Miami Heat

The Heat should be thankful for whatever happened in PHI that made Jimmy Butler want to get the hell out of there.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks should be thankful for Giannis. Forever and always the answer will be Giannis.

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Wolves should be thankful that KAT still has 4 more years on his extension so they don't have to worry about trading him and that Andrew Wiggins appears to have a pulse this season.

New Orleans Pelicans

The Pelicans should be thankful that the NBA felt bad about AD boning them and found a way to gift them Zion.

New York Knicks

The Knicks should be thankful for RJ Barrett actually looking like a real player which helps fans forget the whole Kevin Knox thing happened.

Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder should be thankful that Chris Paul is being a good sport and actually trying so far this season.

Orlando Magic

The Magic should be thankful that the Sixers pulled the plug on Fultz maybe too early since he actually looks like a real NBA player and it cost them nothing to get him.

Philadelphia 76ers

The Sixers should be thankful that despite never getting past the second round everyone still always says they have the best roster and should be the favorites in the East. Oh and that Simmons made a three.

Phoenix Suns

The Suns should be thankful for Aron Baynes, because he essentially turned that franchise around in just 6 weeks.

Portland Trail Blazers

The Blazers should be thankful that Dame/CJ already signed their extensions and won't be asking for a trade despite them being one of the biggest disappointments of the season

Sacramento Kings

The Kings should be thankful that they magically came back from their 0-5 start and are very much alive for a lower playoff spot

San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs should be thankful everyone respects the franchise and Pop so much that nobody is willing to write them off no matter how pathetic they are on the road and how far behind they get in the West.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors should be thankful for Pascal Siakam and his sudden rise to a legit All NBA caliber player.

Utah Jazz

The Jazz should be thankful that they have enough talent on this team to make up for Mike Conley being complete dogshit in his first season

Washington Wizards

The Wizards should be thankful the Nationals won the World Series so nobody really pays any attention to them. Oh and that Bradley Beal seems to be an extremely loyal guy.

Now if you'll excuse me it's time I get back to daydreaming over the best Holiday on the calendar.
