Brisket Vs Big Dick! - Colts Vs Jags Pregame Blog

IT'S GAMEDAY! Uncle Chaps's Jaguars are in Indy as we got an AFC South matchup ready to rip. Jacoby Brisket is back, Big Dick Nick (who won a super bowl under Frank Reich) is back, and I barely have a back. While I'd rather watch Gardner Minshew vs Swag Kelly just for the hell of it, we have to settle with this matchup. The Jags have kicked our ass 3 of the last 4 games thanks to their defense, but the tables may turn because THE ROOF IS CLOSED.

It's currently in the low 40's right now, great call Mr. Irsay! While a closed roof may help Vinny kick normal (so God help me), we still have a few obstacles to overcome.

1. Play Through Injuries, Again.

-We're still a littleeee banged up. T.Y is still out, Parris Campbell is out, and Pierre Desir is still out. The Colts are 0-7 in games T.Y. has not played in. It's scary how much of an impact T.Y. makes not only our offense, but the team's performance when he's out. Zach Pascal has done a great job stepping up, but even Zach needs another hand. Jack O'Doyle Rules has been very reliable while Eric LEbron without the L needs to wake up this season. The Jags have literally everyone active besides Seth Devalve.

2. Control The Game

- Last week against the Dolphins may have been the worst Colts performance in a long time. Terrible run game, 4 turnovers, and could only put up 12 points. The Dolphins wanted it more and they showed it. Thankfully, we don't have Hoyer throwing the pigskin, but we need everyone stepping up. O-Line has to be prepared for the Jags front 7, we need Hines, Mack, Doyle, and especially EBRON to step up. We also can't let Leonard Fournette have a great day. Get ready to see Darius Leonard and Fournette clash helmets all day long.

3. Make Field Goals

-If we hit field goals, hit extra points, and don't miss any field goals or extra points, we should be good. Again, just field goals and extra points.

Prediction:

-The Colts are on a 2-game losing streak and the Jags are coming off a bye week (lost to the Texans in London 3-26 the week before). Brissett is a leader and I expect him to bring some energy into Lucas Oil, but the Jags have been dominating us for a little while now. With T.Y. out, this is going to be very VERY tough. I will have 2 predictions.

Biased Die Hard Colts Fan Prediction: Colts 18 - Jags 17

Realistic Prediction: Jags 24 - Colts 13

I hope my biassed prediction pulls through. As always, Go Horse.
