The legend himself Dwight Freeney is being inducted into the Colts Ring of Honor this Sunday against the Dolphins. Dwight was insanely fun to watch every Sunday as a kid. His reliability of making a big play, the tag team of him and Robert Mathis sharing a hatred for quarterbacks, and his legacy as a Colt will always be remembered.
Besides being known for eating food with no seasoning, his infamous tornado spin move was what trademarked his play style. No other pass rusher could spin like him and make an offensive lineman fall for it every time. He was a lion on the field and a humbled king in the locker room. Random but I always loved playing as him and Robert Mathis in NFL 2K5 First Person Mode! Watching your screen spin from his first person view and ending it off with a sack in first person view was so freaking cool.
The 7 time pro bowler, super bowl champion, and member of the 100 sack club will be joined with greats such as Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrsion, Jeff Saturday, Edgerrin James, and Tony Dungy as his name will be engraved into Lucas Oil Stadium. Cheers to one of my favorite Colts of all time and a legend in the game.
