Jordan Matthews And The Philadelphia Eagles Have One Of The Greatest On-Again, Off-Again Relationships Of Our Generation

Cory and Topanga. Ross and Rachel. Jordan Matthews and the Philadelphia Eagles. All 3 relationships proving that sometimes, you just need to go through a little break before it all works out. And for Jordan Matthews and the Eagles, they're hoping that the 3rd time is the charm. He was drafted by the Eagles in the 2nd round of the 2014 draft. He was traded from the Eagles to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for Ronald Darby in 2017. He was re-signed by the Eagles in September 2018 after getting released by the Patriots during training camp. He was then released by the Eagles after the season and signed with the San Fransisco 49ers in March, but was released by the 9ers in August only to be re-signed by San Fransisco in October only to be released again later in October. But now that he's a free man again and the Eagles have played DeSean Jackson on IR?

Well the Eagles want to solidify their bond for all time.

Or…at least until the end of the season when they can release him again.

But the moral of the story here is that the Eagles just can't quit Jordan Matthews, and Jordan Matthews just can't quit the Eagles. These two are constantly going to be drawn to one another. Maybe one day they'll settle down for good but until then, it's just one of the greatest on-again off-again relationships we've ever seen. A real will they, won't they? And you have to admire the amount of passion they have for each other. It may be a little unorthodox but they're always there for one another when they need them the most. It may not be your classic love story but I'll be damned if it isn't romantic as fuck.

I mean just look at these two. You can never keep them apart for too long.

Now will Jordan Matthews actually help out with the fact that the Eagles receivers have been hot garbage so far this season? Ehhh probably not. But I'm sure he's familiar with the playbook, I'm sure he's familiar with the terminology, he'll be able to come in during the bye week and get right into the game plan, and the majority of the team already knows a guy. So it's not like you need to bring in somebody during the middle of the season like Golden Tate and that dumbass Mike Groh can't figure out what to do with him. And it's not like you're bringing in somebody like Antonio Brown who would immediately become a major distraction in the locker room.

The Eagles receivers are still going to be super mediocre but do you want to know what Jordan Matthews is? Jordan Matthews is that old ass pair of sweatpants you wear to lounge around your house in. They are just always there for you when you need them and as soon as you throw them on, you feel as comfortable as you've ever been in your life. You wouldn't go around bragging about that old ass pair of sweats and you'd never wear them out of the house. But again, you put them on and it's just automatic comfort. You need those pants in your life just as the Eagles need Jordan Matthews.
