Tonight, We Find Out Who The Baddest Motherfucker In The Game Is

I’ve long said that one of the worst spots to be put in is when a coworker/relative/friend will hit me up, and ask, “Are the fights this weekend worth ordering?!”

I hate it. Haaate it. UFC pay-per-views’ll run ya $65-$70 easily, and more times than not, they’ll prove why mixed martial arts is viewed as the most unpredictable sport in the world by many. Some of the best cards ever assembled have turned out to be complete and total busts when the fights actually go down, and on the flip side, there have been shows that never even broke through to the casual fan that serve now as historically exciting nights in the sport’s history.

You just never really know what you’re gonna get, and when that question is sent my way, I always feel like I’m gambling with somebody else’s money. It makes my b-hole clench a lil like it does when you get behind the wheel of a car for the first time. HOWEVAH, I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that tonight’s pay-per-view – UFC 244, LIVE from Madison Square Garden – is worth purchasing.

“IN THE MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIN EVENT…”

Stockton’s own Nate Diaz takes on Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal to see who the REAL baddest motherfucker in the game is.

Both of these guys have similar stories, growing up in rough environments, basically having to learn how to fight out of necessity to survive, and then fighting their way into superstardom through years of competing at the highest level – earning the respect of just about everybody in the game in the process.

Jorge’s recent “career resurgence” if you will began with a brutal knockout of Darren Till in London, which he followed up with a “three piece and a soda” for Leon Edwards backstage…

…and a few months later, he landed a knee heard ’round the world…

Obviously, that all caught the attention of Nate Diaz – who made his return to the octagon shortly afterwards versus Anthony “Showtime” Pettis and put on a nearly flawless, vintage Nate Diaz performance – because as soon as the fight was over, he already had “Gamebred” in mind as his next opponent…

Following his instant-classic fights with Conor McGregor and everything that came with em, Diaz is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in UFC history (and certainly a “needle-mover”), so much so that after he declared himself the “Baddest Motherfucker In The Game” Champion and named Jorge Masvidal the #1 contender to his title, the UFC made it so.

Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal will now main event the biggest card of the year for a custom-made, UFC official 1-of-1 “BMF Championship”:

…and it’ll awarded to the winner of this bout by Dwanye “The Rock” Johnson. How’d that come about you ask? Literally this tweet:

Oh yeah, almost forgot – ROBERTO DURAN will be in attendance for Masvidal as well:

And even Nick Diaz appeared on stage in support of his little bro:

All of the stars are gonna be out for this one. President Donald Trump, as well, which is wild in and of itself. I wonder who he wants to win. Maybe Diaz just because of the Masvidal/Covington beef? I dunno. I digress.

From trying not to mess up backyard gardens…

…to the main event at Madison Square Garden, nobody is more deserving of the spotlight than these two savages. Tonight, they’re gonna prove why. I have no doubt that everything is gonna be left in that octagon, and that if somebody’s going out, it won’t be without a fight.

It’s Stockton vs Miami. West Coast vs East Coast. Nate Diaz vs Jorge Masvidal.

In the co-main event, Darren Till makes his Middleweight Debut versus Kelvin Gastelum, and the rest of the undercard is filled with dope matchups as well, like Derrick Lewis vs Blagoy Ivanov, Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson vs Vincente Luque, Kevin Lee vs Gregor Gillespe, our girl Katlyn Chookagian vs Jennifer Maia, and fan favorite Johnny Walker’s return against a very seasoned opponent in Corey Anderson. I cannot fucking wait.

I’ll be on press row blogging my absolute dick off, so make sure you’re checking back here constantly throughout the night for updates, and check out the UFC 244 preview edition of My Mom’s Basement (with Dallas Braden/Zane Holtz) if you haven’t already!
