High School Fires Every Coach And Cancels Season After Suspended Player Suited Up With Different Identity

Cardinal Ritter College Prep's football team was 7-0. They were on their way to a successful season, with aspirations of postseason success.

Those aspirations are dead after their season was canceled by the school's administration. Why? Well, it's a long story that can be summed up in one sentence: they changed the name, number, and class of their star RB to allow him to play during a suspension.

RB Bill Jackson (sounds like a fake name) was ejected from last year's title game. Rules state that he was supposed to sit out week 1 of the following season. Bill Jackson did end up sitting out week 1. Instead, Marvin Burks played and ran for over 109 yards. The problem? Bill Jackson and Marvin Burks are the same person.

SOURCE-The RB was given the suspension after being ejected from last year's title game, but the team found a way to disguise Jackson, or so they thought.

Instead of his normal No. 4, he wore No. 24 and went under a freshman named "Marvin Burks." It was Jackson's tattoos that ended up giving him away. Jackson, as well as head coach Brandon Gregory, both went along with the lie that the junior didn't play, despite him actually putting up 109 yards on the ground and scoring a 56-yard touchdown in the 32-21 win.

Unreal. What a move.

Gregory told the Post-Dispatch that the imaginary freshman Burks, "earned" the start and that "it was his time to play ball." Jackson also put his acting skills to the test, telling the newspaper that "watching last week, it wasn't fun at all. It gave me a spark."

It appears this was a massive operation. Both Jackson and his coaching staff must've thought they were so slick. If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying. The problem? They weren't slick enough. Due to this massive scheme, Cardinal Ritter has forfeited the rest of their season and every single coach has been fired:

As a result of the incident in the most recent game, Cardinal Ritter school president Tamiko Armstead decided to void the entire season. The school also announced that every person on the coaching staff has been "permanently released."

Tough way to go out.

"That's kinda my wrongdoing of not knowing the rules and that he shouldn't have not sat out the jamboree, he should have sat out week one so that's what happened" he said.

Yeah, that's what happened. He just didn't know the rules.

As for the coach's defense of Jackson wearing a different jersey, Gregory said "that's a thing our kids do on the regular basis, you know, they try to change jersey numbers and sometimes don't let us know."

Classic kid changing his name for one game and saying he's a freshman. Silly kids! This generation has no accountability!
