Great News: Kellogg's Is Launching An LGBT-Themed Cereal

Source - The company’s special edition All Together Cereal is enough to make you snap, crackle and pop with Pride, bringing together many of the brand’s most popular cereals.

The company explained: “The box brings together six of the famous Kellogg mascots and cereals inside the same carton as a symbol of acceptance no matter how you look, where you’re from or who you love.”

The box includes Corn Flakes, Frosties, Froot Loops, Rice Krispies, Raisin Bran and Frosted Mini-Wheats.

Chief diversity officer Priscilla Koranteng said: “At Kellogg, we are firmly committed to equality and inclusion in the workplace, marketplace and in the communities where we work and live.

“We have long been allies and supporters of LGBTQ employees, their families and the community. For more than 100 years, Kellogg has nourished families so they can flourish and thrive, and the company continues to welcome everyone to the table.”

Finally. A gay cereal I can stuff my gay mouth with after I awake from my gay slumber. Just what the doctor ordered. I honestly didn’t know companies were allowed to do this outside the month of June. I thought they had to wait until pride to pretend to care about LGBT issues. At least they’re putting their money where their mouth is…

 The company announced a $50,000 donation to LGBT+ advocacy charity GLAAD as it launched the cereal for Spirit Day on October 17.

$50,000 is less than a drop in the bucket for a Fortune 500 company, but it’s a nice gesture nonetheless. Spirit Day, by the way, is a day to “stand with youth LGBT and speak out against bullying.” Which if we’re being honest is probably necessary considering the hell that a lot of LGBT kids go through on a daily basis. Especially in school. And as goofy as it is, some kid is going to see that cereal box and feel a little bit better about themselves. So you can make fun of it if you want to, but I’m all for it.

Having said that, these are the queens they decided to use in their campaign…

Three twink elves, a dom top in Tony the Tiger, and a vers toucan. Who knows what the Chicken is? If I had to guess I’d say he’s ‘Q’ due to the awkward hand placement. All they need is a chaotic bottom and they have their bases covered.
