No Matter Who You Are You Gotta Root For Ryan Zimmerman
If you’re a fan of sport, or just humanity in general, you have to love the Ryan Zimmerman story. Just a kid from Virginia, who played at UVA, drafted by the Nationals, and has spent his entire career in DC, the face of the team, through those tough early years, the Davey Johnson and Matt Williams, and Dusty years where they got close but fell short, and now finally getting to the World Series.
And through all those seasons, it hasn’t been all peaches and cream for him. He has battled so many injuries and setbacks in 2014, 2015, and 2016, as well as 2018 and this season. He also had to move to first base from 3rd and learn a whole new position in 2015, which he did nearly flawlessly.
And now, after all of that, he finally got to do this:

He’s doing everything he can and more. Nobody deserves this more than Ryan Zimmerman.

If you don’t have a team to root for in the World Series, Ryan is just another reason to pull for the Nats.
