Masahiro Tanaka And Gleyber Torres Dominate The Astros As The Yankees Take Game 1 With a Perfectly Played Baseball Game

Fun isn't something one considers when balancing the universe. But this... does put a smile on my face.
The Yankees just took it to the Houston Astros. Pure domination from start to finish. Where is everyone who said Houston in 4? Where you at you punks? That really was a perfect game. Houston's bats had no answer for Playoff Tanaka. He was magnificent. First pitcher in baseball history to allow 2 runs or fewer in his first 7 postseason starts. That's insane. I said before the game it was imperative for Tanaka to set the tone and put up zeroes on the scoreboard. The Yankees had to start with the lead and build off of that. He was so, so, so fucking good in this game. 

No moment is too big for Masahiro Tanaka. 6 innings. 1 hit. 1 walk.  4 strikeouts. 68 pitches. I was STUNNED and furious when they pulled him for Ottavino because it just felt so wildly unnecessary, but it worked out. Maybe because he only threw 68 pitches he can come back and start Game 4? Probably not, but I guess it's possible. Regardless, such a fantastic performance from Masa. That's why he starts Game 1. God, I love that man, 

Offensively the red hot 22 year old beautiful son of a bitch in Gleyber Torres carried the way.

Papa Torres is an electric factory in the stands. 

Even Giancarlo showed up with this laser of a homer to make it 3-0. 

It really was the perfect baseball game. You could not have drawn it up any better. What a win. What a baseball team. This was for all intents and purposes a "Must Win" for the Yankees with bitch boy Greinke on the mound. They treated it like that and never looked back. Now they come back Sunday night to try and steal Game 2. Let's fucking go. Big win baby. 

Ya hate to see it Jared, go get another haircut.
