DJ LeMahieu Gave The Most Awkward/Incredible Rapid Fire Interview Ever And I Can't Get Enough Of It

I love everything about this interview. DJ LeMahieu was not put on this Earth to speak his thoughts. He has no interest in doing so and you can't make him. If he had the option of being a mute he would. The guy couldn't hate anything more if he tried. All the man cares about is putting the bat on the baseball as perfectly as possible, and he's one of the best at doing so. When he's asleep he's watching film because his brain is so advanced. When he's eating dinner with his wife he's thinking about the rare bad at bat he had a few games ago. It eats away at him. He doesn't have hobbies. It's just baseball. He's a cyborg. He's the perfect Yankee.

I mean look at some of these answers.

"Last thing you read that wasn't a scouting report?"

"Probably something on my phone, I don't know."

"If you could make a cameo in any TV show, which one would you pick?"

"Ooohh..Favorite TV Show (laughs)"

I mean that's just incredible. He doesn't even answer the questions. Imagine being the interviewer? Scrambling in your brain going crazy over how to make this any close to entertaining for the reader. But that's the beauty in it. The awkwardness is just so perfect DJ. I never want to live in a world where he's open and candid in public. To be honest, I'm pretty sure he's the exact same at home.

The icing on the cake was the end.

"All right. well, DJ, thanks for your time."

"Sorry I'm like the worst person for these."

What does that even mean? You're the worst person for these? Just answering questions about yourself? Guy is just the best. He's maybe the greatest free agent signing in Brian Cashman's career. He's not here for your quotes. He's here to win. LeMachine forever.
