BlackJack's NFL Buffet of Winners Brought to You By FanDuel

Alright baby, we had a successful 7-4 day yesterday. We’ll take that every single Saturday if we can get it. Now we move on to Sunday and the NFL. This is an interesting week with some challenging games on the card. Games that might perplex the average person. But not us. No, not us. We are enlivened by the challenge of these games. We are enthralled by difficulty. We are enamored with the idea of success where others may fail. This is our card. This is our week. These are our wins. Let’s step up to the buffet and let’s eat.

Before we feast, we must discuss one important note. WINNERS:

Ravens-Steelers-Football-1-1-1541182381

Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers

Somehow the Ravens have become a pretty dynamic offense. Also, if we judge based off of last week, maybe the Steelers are starting to figure things out on the offensive side of the ball as well. Mason Rudolph looked far more comfortable with the gameplay devised by Mike Tomlin and company on Monday night than he did previously. It’s rare to say this in a Ravens-Steelers game, but I think we see some points here. This total is kind of low and I think we get over it.

THE PICK: Over 44

Chicago Bears (-5.5) at Oakland Raiders

This game is in London and will be a showcase game for the NFL. I think what this really will be is the Khalil Mack revenge game. Mack will want to destroy Oakland on the international stage and I think he will succeed. Also, I think the Bears may actually benefit in this game from having Chase Daniel under center. He may not be spectacular, but he can make the throws he needs to make to be effective.

THE PICK: Chicago -5.5

NFL: SEP 29 Redskins at Giants

Minnesota Vikings (-5.5) at New York Giants

Look, I don’t know if Daniel Jones has really turned the Giants season around or not, but he does make plays. He can extend plays with his legs and has energized a moribund Giants team. Now they are at home against a Vikings team that has been running a vanilla offense and is suddenly in turmoil. Stefon Diggs may or may not have requested a trade, Adam Theilen is unhappy as well. Feels like a lot of finger pointing in Minnesota. I just don’t know that the Vikings have earned the right to be five point road favorites right now.

THE PICK: New York +5.5

Pittsburgh Steelers v New England Patriots

New England Patriots (-16.5) at Washington Redskins

The Redskins are sending poor Colt McCoy to the wolves in this one. McCoy suffered a leg injury last year which was botched by the Redskins, just as they botch everything. Now they bring him back to face a ferocious New England defense. This isn’t going to go well. It’s a lot of points on the road, but good lord, this could get ugly and fast.

THE PICK: New England -16.5

Houston Texans v Dallas Cowboys

Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys (-3.5)

Both teams come into this one fresh off a loss. The Packers, however, are coming in without Davante Adams who is out with a toe injury. The Cowboys are at home and realistically are the more well rounded team. We saw Green Bay get exposed a bit against Philadelphia with their lack of a running game offensively. I think Dallas will be able to pressure Aaron Rodgers and also run the ball at will.

THE PICK: Dallas -3.5

COlts WIN

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs (-11)

I think Kansas City wins this without a doubt, but this is a lot of points. We all know the Chiefs defense has its holes. Patrick Mahomes will undoubtedly do his part and put points on the board, but the Colts, coming in off a loss to Oakland at home, will be able to score as well. Marlon Mack should exploit the weak run defense of K.C., and Jacoby Brissett should be able to sling it down field. I think the Chiefs win and the Colts cover.

THE PICK: Indianapolis +11
