Should It Be Considered Biological Warfare If The Jets Allow Sam Darnold To Travel To Philly This Weekend?

Philadelphia Eagles v New York Jets

Sam Darnold has already been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Eagles. And good for him. He said that he didn’t want to die and now he’s getting his wish. But you know what? That’s not enough reassurance for me.

The Eagles have already had about 70 players on the 53-man roster show up in some form or another on the injury report. This team has been riddled with injuries for years now and this season has already been just as aggressive as ever on the injury front. So the last thing the Eagles need right now is for gross little Sammy Darnold to come to town, lick all of the water bottles and get everybody else sick. If Sam Darnold makes the trip down to Philly this weekend, that should be considered biological warfare. According to Wikipedia, biological warfare “is the use of biological toxins or infectious agents such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi with the intent to kill or incapacitate humans, animals or plants as an act of war.” Sure seems to me that Sam Darnold bringing his mono to Lincoln Financial Field could fit that definition.

Now I’ll be honest with you guys–I haven’t had a chance to read the NFL rulebook from cover to cover yet. So I’m not entirely sure if the NFL has explicitly said that Biological Warfare is against the rules. But I have to imagine the league wouldn’t necessarily be thrilled with it regardless. And if by some chance Sam Darnold does decide to make that trip on Sunday, you better not even THINK about smooching Carson Wentz. Regardless of how enticing that might be, keep you filthy lips away from my sweet prince. Sinner.
