NY PostAn off-duty undercover cop who claimed he took no active role as fellow bikers pulled a Manhattan dad from his SUV and beat him to a pulp was actually pounding the vehicle with his fists during the height of the bloody road-rage attack, sources told The Post. The cop, a seven-year veteran, had told investigators he didn’t help the injured man because he rode up to the scene as the beating was nearly finished, sources said. But video footage clearly shows otherwise, disgusted sources said Monday — and Internal Affairs Bureau higher-ups want to nail the officer. Probers believe their hands are tied, however, sources said, because authorities already dropped charges against another biker, Allen Edwards, 43, of Queens, who allegedly punched the rear window of Alexian Lien’s Range Rover before Lien’s beatdown in front of his wife and 2-year-old daughter. The undercover cop will likely face internal charges. He didn’t even tell his bosses that he was with the bikers — much less at the scene of the crime — until Wednesday night, more than three days after the attack.

First of all, I don’t exactly understand “undercover off duty.” Aren’t those 2 separate things? Like an undercover cop isn’t off duty. He’s on duty but…undercover. So I’m not quite sure of what that means because I think thats an important distinction. If this cop was just off duty and chooses to spend his time breaking the law with a bunch of scumbags in a biker mob and joined in during the altercation, thats a lot different than working undercover.

I know I’ve written a lot about this story but it just seems like every other day theres another detail coming to light that makes me hate these motherfuckers even more. Like the fact that I know it was some arrogant pig cop who acts like he’s untouchable makes it even worse. Makes perfect sense. The type of scumbag cops like this guy already exist in the mob mentality thinking they can do whatever they want whenever they want. Not surprising he does it with his criminal buddies when he’s off duty.

On a positive note – basically the only one from this story – shout out to Sergio Consuegra, the dude who stepped up and protected the wife and daughter in the car after the driver had been slashed. Thats some serious Good Samaritan shit right there. Basically like standing between a woman and her child and a fucking pack of rabid wolves. Takes balls of steel to stand in the middle like that and protect that family.

CBS News Meanwhile, a bystander hailed as a hero in the episode gave a public account Sunday of stopping the attack. Lien was on the ground when bystander Sergio Consuegra stepped in between him and the bikers, Consuegra recalled at a news conference with local officials. Feeling “intense danger,” Consuegra told himself, “‘Let me not show these people that I’m here to engage in any kind of confrontation but that I’m here to protect the man and the family, so I’m going to keep it cool,'” he recalled. Consuegra, who’s in his 50s, was on his way to church when he saw the encounter. He spread his arms to shield the driver and told the bikers: “‘That’s it, guys. Let it go. That’s it. Let it go,'” he said. The bikers backed off, and Consuegra called police. He said he felt he’d done the right thing. But “I do not call myself a hero,” he said, “because I wish I could have done more.”
