Max Kellerman Says Giannis Is A Three Point Shot Away From Being Able To Pass Michael Jordan As The GOAT...I'm Sorry What?

Everyone knows Giannis is a monster. He’s arguably the best player in the NBA right now, is young as hell and is going to be a big time problem for the foreseeable future. By no means am I trying to discredit him in any way I want to be clear about that. But saying he’s a three point shot away from being able to pass Michael Jordan as the greatest basketball player of all time is laughable. Think about what you’re saying for me one time Max Kellerman. Do you know how hard it is to pass MJ as the GOAT? Kobe, Lebron, Shaq, Magic Johnson, pick a name of an ALL TIME GREAT and they still aren’t even in the same zip code as Michael Jordan. You know why? Whether you agree with it or not it comes down to rings and 6-0 don’t lie. Now, if your argument is that with a 3 point shot Giannis can win more than 6 titles well now you’re just making things up. The Bucks will be good for as long as Giannis stays in MIL, but is a Giannis three point shot the only thing keeping that team from becoming a dynasty? No, their collective talent is. Again, they’re going to be really good, but think of the talent level on the teams we see win that many titles. They are filled with HOF talent, where is that on the Bucks roster? Giannis could have every bit a dominant run in the East that LeBron had while winning MVPs and making Finals, but that’s still not going to get him on Jordan’s level. I don’t know what this fascination is with trying to say every really good player in today’s game could potentially  pass Michael Jordan as the GOAT. It’s never going to happen, period.

I know, I know, this is what he does and it’s to get people like me to write blogs like this, but the season hasn’t even started yet and we are already getting a little out of hand. He even threw out that right now Giannis is “very respectable” from three which is really pushing it seeing as how he shot 25% during the regular season and 32% in the playoffs from deep. That’s shooting it very respectably? I don’t think so.

We can all agree that Giannis is going to go down as an all time player and is going to be the face of the NBA for the next like 15 years. He’s everything you want in a franchise player, a humble superstar who plays hard as hell on both ends and puts in the work to be the best at his craft. But he’s not going to pass Michael Jordan, and that’s OK! And even if you truly believe that, this discussion shouldn’t even start until he has as many titles as LeBron at a minimum and even then it’ll still be a stretch.

I will say, I was also very disappointed that at no point in this video did Stephen A hit him with a

Max put it on a goddamn tee for him.
