I Cannot Stand Ernie Johnson Calling Postseason Baseball

Every year as October rolls around and postseason baseball enters our world, the same problem always arises. Ernie Johnson calls wildly important baseball games. Do or die games. I know the announcer shouldn’t really bother the viewer and you should just watch the game, but Ernie Johnson makes me think we’re watching a fucking spring training game. I mean look at this shit tonight as the Brewers shockingly tee off on Max Scherzer early. He should be going nuts.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love Ernie Johnson the person. He’s the man. He’s an incredible host for TNT’s basketball show with Shaq, Chuck, and Kenny. No one on Earth plays better with those guys. But when it comes to big postseason baseball moments there really is no one else more boring to call a game. He brings zero juice to the booth. It bothers me more and more each year and I think finally people are catching on. I realize they can’t have Brian Anderson call this game tonight since he’s the everyday Brewers announcer, but I really wish they would let him. He’s incredible. I live for postseason games called by that man, not Ernie.
