Eloy Jimenez Wins AL Rookie of the Month, The White Sox Core Is Set And The Rebuild Is Dead

Ho hum.  Perfect culmination to Eloy’s 2019 season.

Eloy was great in the 2nd half and even better in the last month. He was annoyingly kinda bad to start the year but in the 2nd half we got the exact headliner we thought we were getting when The Sox traded for him:

Dude’s gonna be a stud if he isn’t one already.  This young core is so goddamn good for the Sox.  Moncada turned into the star everyone said he’d be.  Giolito an Ace.  TA7 matured into a batting champion.  Cease flashed dominance, as did Lopez.  Madrigal and Robert on the way.

When the Sox recorded their final out last night the team got a standing ovation.  Kinda odd for a team that just won 72 games and missed the playoffs right for the 1000th straight year right?  Typically it would be, yes, but the fans know what’s going down with the Sox right now.  The rebuild is dead. Over.  Finished.  It ceases to exist.  They’re ready to push their chips to the middle and start making a run at the division.  Now obviously this offseason is massive for them, but they’re in a great spot for many reasons.

I cannot wait until 2020.  This is going to be a long, slow and miserable offseason but one that *should* end with a roster that is better at the end of it then at the start of it.  I’ll have a full on offseason primer coming out in the next day or two but the fun is just about to start.
