Knicks President Steve Mills Said They Passed On Meeting With Max Free Agents And The Summer Went As Plan ... This Is Me Making The Loudest Fart Sound

Alright, let’s get into this because Steve Mills apparently has no idea how to correctly talk. You don’t say you PASSED on meeting with max free agents. You just can’t say that. Not when the plan this summer was to land two stars. That’s why you create all that cap space, tank, etc.

Now, I’m going to speak a little bit out of both sides of my mouth here. I don’t hate what the Knicks did once they missed on the big free agents. They didn’t tie up salary for players that don’t deserve it. They committed to all short term deals keeping their salary options open while they rebuild. THAT WAS SHOCKINGLY SMART.

Here comes the issue though. The Knicks need to continue to stay with the same plan. That’s nearly impossible when James fucking Dolan is running the team. You commit to a rebuild. Keep loading up on draft picks. Don’t overspend until you can get that guaranteed star – aka Giannis in a couple of years.

So this is me making a fart sound through a blog. Don’t say you could have met with max free agents. That’s not how you keep fans on board. You say, we got the free agents we thought could help us this year and keep salary flexibility open so we can keep building our team.

Nothing was fucking exciting about this free agency. It was fine considering what happened. But don’t tell me it was fucking exciting. It was ultimately a let down for expectations.
