After What Could've Been His Final Game With The Red Sox, Brock Holt Gave His Bats Away To Fans Outside Fenway Park

Toronto Blue Jays v Boston Red Sox

Here in Boston, athletes come and go. Some of them “get it” and some of them don’t. For the ones who don’t exactly endear themselves to the fanbase, most fans don’t mind looking the other way if the results on the field are satisfactory. But for the ones who “get it” AND perform on the field, those are the players that fans remember forever. Guys like Brock Holt.

After Sunday’s season finale against the Baltimore Orioles, concluding a disappointing 2019 season (full blog tomorrow morning), Holt took his collection of bats from his locker and headed out to the streets where fans were waiting for their favorite players to exit the parking lot. In what could be his final act as a member of the Boston Red Sox with free agency looming this winter, Holt left fans with a parting gift. Some physical, some just a cool memory.

Whichever the case, one thing is certain and that’s that Brock Holt will always be remembered fondly for his time here in Boston. He’s a World Series champion, a once lone representative of the Boston Red Sox at the All Star Game, and a huge giver of his time and effort here in the community.
