Alabama WRs Play Rock, Paper, Scissors Mid Game To Determine Who Runs What Routes
Alabama is at the point of their program where they are just bored. There’s no other way to put it. There are only 3 games a year that matter. All the other ones are just scrimmages.
At this moment, Alabama is winning every game by over 39 points on average. They won’t be a single-digit favorite until they take on Georgia in the SEC Championship game. So, how do they entertain themselves? The WRs play rock, paper, scissors:
SOURCE-“That’s funny,” Ruggs said, “because we have playmakers everywhere and at any moment. Any guy can make a play, so once they got the play call, they knew, ‘Oh, this is the route that is going to catch the touchdown.’ So they rock, paper, scissored over who was going to run that route.
“We all know every position, so at any moment, we can move around. I can go in the slot or go outside or something like that. So if they see a big route coming, everybody wants it so they just did rock, paper, scissors to see who was going to run it.”
Amazing.
Right now, Alabama has Devontae Smith, Henry Ruggs, Jalen Waddle, and Jerry Jeudy. I may be wrong, but I believe this is the greatest WR core in college football history. If you line them all up on McFarland Boulevard and let them race they ALL getting speeding tickets.
