Jalen Ramsey Has Officially Brought Playing Hooky Back
There are plenty of classic games from your childhood that you have unknowingly retired from. Like when was the last time you played tag? When was the last time you’ve played jail break? Capture the flag? Red rover? There was a moment when you played each of these games for the final time of your life and you were unaware of it. And hooky is no different.
But Jalen Ramsey is here to reclaim playing hooky back from your childhood and into your adult life. Jalen Ramsey probably had himself a weekend. Requested a trade out of Jacksonville, grabbed a win on Thursday night, probably assumed that it was the last game he’d ever have to play for the Jags, and now he’s just chilling until he gets moved out of there. The only issue is that he still has school today, and it’s not like he can just not show up. So what does he do? He gets on the phone, fakes a few coughs, says he’s got the flu and now he gets to just stay home all day playing video games and watching Jerry Springer. Is Jerry Springer still on TV? Maybe crush a few episodes of The Price Is Right. Maybe if he’s feeling lucky he’ll go out and hit the town for a little but you always have to be careful to not get caught. One moment you think you’re having the best day of your life skipping work and heading out to catch a baseball game. The next moment a foul ball ends up your direction and everybody sees you on TV so your cover is blown and you get fired from your job and your wife leaves you, she takes the kids and now you have nothing left. I’ve seen it happen a million times before. So with that in mind, let’s hope that Jalen Ramsey just lays low today and that his “flu” clears up by the time he arrives to Philly as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.
