UFC Mexico City’s main card was just kicked off with a BANG, where Steven “Ocho” Peterson put Martin Bravo out LIKE A LIGHT with a spinning backfist in response to his opponents’ spinning backfist. Bravo immediately went stiff, as the punch landed flush across his lower jaw, and was sat down – and then laid down – before eating one more shot. Fucking unreal.

Obviously the second shot was unnecessary, and I’ve seen folk getting pissed about it already, but I don’t think it’s the biggest deal, honestly. You guys know this is cagefighting, right? Shit happens. Fighters get fueled with passion in these wars, and are instructed to fight until the referee says otherwise. If anything, blame the ref for a late stoppage!

Amazing finish there, though. Probably one of the best of the year.
