I Am At War With The Entire State Of Texas (Mostly Just Austin) Right Now
On Thursday’s episode of Unnecessary Roughness, I proclaimed, what I thought, was a completely fine take on the game between the Longhorns & Cowboys:
For those who can’t listen, I proposed this simple idea: I’d rather have Spencer Sanders as my QB with Tylan Wallace & CHubba Hubbard than having Sam Ehlinger as my QB.
Sam Ehlinger is a good college QB. He’s had a great run as the QB at Texas. However, he’s 0-2 against Oklahoma State as a starter. He’s come up short against teams like Maryland, Texas Tech, and West Virginia. He’s not gods gift to the earth.
Spencer Sanders is a freshman QB for Oklahoma State. He’s 2-0, which means he’s literally never lost a game in college. He’s not gods gift to the earth, but he’s also not a no name. He’s a 4-star QB that passed on offers from Penn State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, A&M, TCU, and Missouri to come play for Mike Gundy.

All this really struck a nerve with Texas fans across the internet. Here are a few examples:

This is no KFC vs. Serbia situation, but it does appear I am at war with the entire state of Texas (really just 100 people or so). They seem MIGHTY confident for a school that hasn’t beaten Oklahoma State since 2014 AND hasn’t beaten them at home since Bush was in office!
When Oklahoma State & Texas kickoff tomorrow at 7:30 PM, I’ll feel like I’m a part of Oklahoma State. I’m predicting a massive game for Spencer Sanders. A coming out game of sorts. Will he produce a victory? I’d say so. If he does, I will be relentless against Texas fans. So relentless they are going to force the Big 12 to penalize me anytime I have an anti-Texas take like they did with Horns Down. If he doesn’t? Texas fans will be coming for me. Pray for my mentions.
