Apparently You're Not Allowed To Divorce Your Wife Without Telling Her Anymore

Texas – A Houston-area man is wanted by authorities after they said he filed for and completed a divorce from his wife without ever telling her.

Mark Herman of Harris County Constable Precinct 4 said on Facebook that Paul Nixon committed aggravated perjury when he went through the divorce process without his wife’s consent.

Here’s the thing–I feel like you don’t go out of your way to sneak around and forge some documents to file a divorce if you feel like your wife is capable of having that discussion without trying to murder you the moment you bring up a divorce. Just seems like a lot of extra work you put on yourself if there wasn’t a reason to do so. So pretty much what this man is now wanted for is protecting himself from taking a fork to the back of both knees as you walk away. Seems like a less than idea situation, but apparently that’s how the law works. You either have forks sticking through the back of your knees or you become a fugitive on the run and wanted for aggravated perjury.

Honestly I think this is the most romantic way he could have gone about it. He saved his wife the trouble of going through a messy divorce. Shit bag lawyers, hours in court, everyone getting dragged through the mud. It would have been a miserable experience for all involved. So what did my guy go out there and do? He just took care of it himself. It was a group project that the wife gets credit for even though she didn’t have to do any of the work. He did the whole thing but made sure that her name was on the final project when he handed it over to the teacher.

Good news for this guy, however, is that he’s wanted by the authorities and will probably end up in jail. Which he should be begging for at this point because there’s no way in hell he’d want to go back home after his wife found out he tried to sneak that divorce. Sign this man up for a life sentence.
