Should Antonio Brown Be Suspended Now That We Know He Farted in a Doctor's Face?

SISports Illustrated has identified several people [Antonio] Brown similarly cut out of his life, allegedly before payments for goods and services were made. Many of them say they were subjected to Brown’s unusual behavior. Dr. Victor Prisk, a former gymnast and bodybuilder who runs Prisk Orthopaedics and Wellness (POW) in Monroeville, Pa., says he was wary of Brown’s reputation in the athletic performance community for being, in his words, a “flighty” client. Still, in August 2018, he took an initial meeting with Brown, for which he says the receiver was three hours late. Upon arrival, Brown passed gas numerous times in Prisk’s vicinity while Prisk was testing his body fat. A video, shot by a Brown acolyte, made the rounds on the internet. “It seemed just childish to me,” Prisk says now. “I’m a doctor and this man is farting in my face.”

Some things you can’t come back from.

What’s the No. 1 lesson we’ve all learned from NFL scandals of recent years? It’s that when there’s video involved, there’s no disputing it. Ray Rice dragged his unconscious fiancee out of an elevator like a bag of trash, and somehow the league saw moral ambiguity. Like she’d casually knocked herself out cold in there. But once the security camera footage came out, his career was over. Kareem Hunt might or might not have been involved in a drunken beef in a hotel. But once the world got a look at him kicking a woman while she was on the floor, the Chiefs had no choice but to release him. Ezekiel Elliot? Tyreek Hill? There is no video, so they got the presumption of innocence they are entitled to. Hell, even Josh Brown, who was so unambiguously an abusive monster that NFL security kept his wife and kids in an undisclosed protection from him for their own safety, got to keep his job since there was no video of his transgressions.

Antonio Brown’s legal matter with Britney Taylor might be a he said/she said situation. We don’t know at this point. Maybe nothing will come of it because the only video we’ve seen is of the two of them looking happy together. So there’s no telling.

But this? Him clearly ripping off farts while poor Dr. Victor Prisk is trying to examine him? There’s no explaining this away. The camera doesn’t lie. Brown’s indifference to this learned doctor’s suffering is appalling. In fact, he almost seems to take pleasure in it. He just keeps playing the trouser trumpet with a sadistic grin on his face despite the obvious pain his gas is causing. And as Dr. Prisk continues to fulfill his Hippocratic duties, the ass flapper abuse just gets worse and worse. It’s shameful. Especially coming from someone little kids look up to as a role model.

Like I said, there’s no coming back from this. I don’t see how you can trot a guy out there wearing the shield of your league or the uniform of your team and have him represent you after the public has seen this. As Commissioner Roger Goodell has stated many times, playing in the NFL is a privilege. And to do so, you need to uphold the highest ideals of the league and of America. Antonio Brown failed to do so as he kept releasing the brown thunder on this medical professional. Though it pains me to say it, Brown needs to suffer the same fate as Phil Simms when he farted on our national treasure Jim Nantz.

Goodell needs to send a message to the youth of America that you can’t just blow your colon on someone and get away with it. Suspend him now. For the good of the country.
