Wake Up With Tim Lincecum Making Hitters Look Like Idiots

I don’t know that there’s ever been a more physical freak of nature in all of professional sports history than Tim Lincecum.  And yes, I include Lebron James, Bo Jackson, etc. into this argument.

No, he wasn’t physically imposing.  The exact opposite.  But that’s exactly what made him a freak of nature.  A human of his size…

…Should NOT be able to throw 97-98 MPH with consistency and life.  What he did with his body should have been physically impossible.  And let me be the first to say – he was not close to 5’11”.  He was 5’8″, MAYBE 5’9″ at best.  The biomechanics of his delivery are incredible when you see them broken down by scientists and other smart people:

But, sadly, they were all correct when they said he wouldn’t last and that his body would break down.  He fell off the FACE.  Nevertheless, 2 time Cy Young winner, 4 all star games, and multiple World Series.  Not too shabby a career.
