George W Bush Painted A Portrait of John Boehner And People Are Nutting Themselves Over It
Last night Kate and I went to John Boehner’s house to interview him for Zero Blog Thirty. After the interview we played the pmt game of “who’s the most famous person in your phone.” His answer was ole W. He started telling tales about Bush and their relationship. Much to my surprise, he whipped out his phone and showed us this picture.
Awesome. Just awesome. He didn’t end up using the portrait as the official portrait but he probably should have. I’d still want the paintings of dogs over this one. No disrespect I just like dogs. People are going so nuts about this painting that artnet can’t even wait until I’m off the plane to confirm the story. The art world loves it.
“According to Barstool Sports journalist(that’s Journalist with a capital J, Eileen…) Matthew Cothron (wow,, using my full Christian name?), who conducted the interview with Kate Mannion, the portrait will hang in a portion of the Capitol building called the Speaker’s Lobby of Congress, a marble-floored room outside the House Chamber where representatives come and go and meet with constituents…..Cothron said Bush did not intend for the painting to become Boehner’s official portrait, but Boehner was swiftly convinced.”
The art biz is poppin, babies. Im a huge art guy now. Boehner interview comes out on Friday. Can’t wait for you guys to hear it
