"Google Where The Headquarters Of Fucking FIBA Is, It's A Fucking Disgrace" - Andrew Bogut Basically Calls FIBA Corrupt After A Brutal Double OT Loss To Spain

2019 FIBA World Cup - Semi-Finals: Spain v Australia

Well color me shocked. FIBA could be corrupt? I mean we all know FIFA is dirty as hell, but could the same be true of FIBA? According to Andrew Bogut they sure are. He wants us all to Google where the HQ is, so let’s have a look

OK so that didn’t exactly turn out how Bogut probably anticipated. Switzerland is in fact not Spain and I have no idea why they would be in the business of helping Spain in this tournament. So what is everyone all worked up about? Well this game between Spain and Australia may have been the best game of the tournament with a pretty thrilling finish

A rather dubious foul on Bogut in the final seconds is what set him off. The play is with 8 seconds left in regulation and Australia up 1 point and Bogut “fouls” Gasol on a rebound attempt. Watch the video,

that is absolutely not a foul. I don’t care who you root for, if you have eyes you know that is not a foul, so I get the frustration. I also find it very funny that in the official FIBA highlight tweet of this game they just so happened to leave that play out. Call me crazy but that feels like a pretty important part of telling the story of this game. To me, that’s how you know FIBA knows that ref fucked up. Otherwise you include that in the highlight. Now granted, Australia sort of threw this game away with their play over the last 2ish minutes of this game with turnovers and fouls as they saw a 5 point lead vanish in a matter of minutes, but that essentially game deciding foul on Bogut was still bullshit so I’m with Australia here, they got boned.

But where I don’t agree is that there’s some sort of corruption. It was just a bad call. They still could have won in either of the OTs, but Spain, led by Gasol, was able to pull through

They got their prayer and took advantage of it, credit to them.

With Argentina beating France, we now have a Spain/Argentina Final with two international legends going against each other in Marc Gasol and Luis Scola

and seeing as how these two teams were basically the best two of the entire tournament it should definitely live up to the hype. Something tells me Andrew Bogut won’t be watching though.
