Mitch Trubisky And The Bears Are #DONE Talking About The Green Bay Debacle

Let me be the first to say that I really hate this.  Gotta face the music.  Telling the media that “you’re not here to talk about last week’s loss” is going to send both them and fans into a feeding fucking frenzy with meatball hot takes.

But it’s not even that he won’t answer questions about last week, it’s that he said he “was told to not answer questions about last week.”  Kinda sounds like he’s throwing someone under the bus, though anyone who has followed Mitch through any interview at all knows that’s not the case.  Just poor wording.  But the media is going to spin this sort of like “anyone who says they’re not thinking about last week is definitely thinking about last week” and the narrative is going to persist unless the Bears come out guns blazing next week.

We had Dan Pompei on Red Line Radio today to break down all things Bears, Mitch Trubisky and Nagy heading into week 2 against Denver.  I know it, you know it, and everything else knows that Mitch has to be better.  Nagy has to be better.  The offensive line has to be better.  The whole offense needs to be better.  You just better be fucking sure they get fixed, because windows close in an instant in the NFL unless you’re the goddamn Patriots.

If they do fix those mistakes?  Then yeah, fuck the Green Bay loss.  We’ll beat their brains in at Lambeau in whatever week we play up there.

And guess what?  The Bears defense just held Green Bay to 10 points.  It shouldn’t be too difficult for them to at worst duplicate that against Flacco and the Broncos this week.  Mitch just had his worst performance ever as a starting QB with Nagy having his worst play calling as coach, and the OL was pretty much garbage so there’s literally nowhere to go but up.
