I Can't Wait To See The Real Images Of The Two Guys The FBI Are After

Boston.com – Authorities have clear video images of two separate suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings carrying black bags at each explosion site and are planning to release the images today in an appeal for the public’s help in identifying the men, according to an official briefed on the case. The official said that the two suspects were seen separately on videotape — one at each of the two bombing sites, which are located about a block apart. The official, who spoke this morning on the condition of anonymity, said the best video has come from surveillance cameras on the same side of Boylston Street as the explosions. The official said the widely reported Lord and Taylor surveillance camera, and snapshots from individual cellphone camera users, have not provided the clearest images. It was unclear why authorities did not publicize images of the unidentified suspects yesterday.

I literally can’t wait to see these images. So much speculation. So many people pointing the finger. Everybody blaming everybody. 4chan doing work. Reddit doing work. KFC doing work. Backpacks, white hats, black coats, dark skinned, light skinned etc.  It’s madness. And guess what? I don’t have a problem with any of it. I mean yesterday I was getting so many emails from people saying that it was the 2 kids from the NY Post that I tweeted out the following  last night:

“These are the two people the Internet is saying did it.  If they didn’t they should speak up so people stop saying it”

Well 3 minutes later one of the guys in the photo was on our message board saying it wasn’t him and providing other pictures of himself at the marathon. Enough for me to rule him out.  Now everybody has ruled them out today.  People were crushing me for ruining his life.  Sites like Barstool Junior trying to get all righteous even though they only know it wasn’t him because of the info we gathered.  Well I don’t get this philosophy. Being accused of a terrorist when you’re clearly not isn’t something that sticks with you. Like if the terrorist was described as looking like Bradley Cooper except with a huge nose and having a pizza stain on his shirt, I would have no problem if people said it was me. None whatsoever. I’d just come forward and say it wasn’t and laugh about it later. I just don’t get how being the guy everybody thought it was could have a lasting impact?

I guess my point is this. The FBI has made it clear they need the public’s help.  Places like 4chan, Reddit are doing a public service. They aren’t convicting anybody. That’s the FBI’s job and the FBI is actively asking for help.  Big websites like ours have access to hundreds of thousands of viewers.  We specifically have hundreds of thousands of readers from Boston. I don’t agree with what the NY Post did because they sensationalized the fuck out of it, but I have no problem throwing as much shit against the wall and seeing what sticks. You just never know when something may help.  The potential benefit far outweighs the alternative.
