BREAKING NEWS: Per Sources, The Crease Dive Will Be Doing Our First Live Show At The PLL Championship Next Weekend

PLL-Live-Show

The sources are me, by the way.

September 21. Talen Energy Stadium. The first ever PLL Champion will be Crowned and we’ll also be getting the first ever live show of The Crease Dive. Some are calling it potentially the most historic day in the history of the sport. I’m not going to be the one to say that, but I certainly wouldn’t disagree either.

It’s crazy to think that at this point last year, we still didn’t know that this league even existed. I mean there had been some rumblings in the lacrosse world that Paul Rabil & Co. were thinking about breaking off and starting their own league. But it wasn’t until September 25, 2018 that the first report about the league got out there. And then it was another month later on October 22, 2018 that the league was officially announced. The 6 team names were announced toward the end of February. Rosters were first announced in the beginning of March. The season first kicked off on June 1 at Gillette Stadium. And now we’re about a week and a half away from the first ever championship weekend. So it’s been a pretty wild year, and we’re fired up to be a part of the final weekend.

So for the live show, we’ll be out at the Premier Zone set up at Talen Energy between the 1st Overall Draft Pick game and the Championship game. After that we’ll all head into the stadium, watch the first champ get crowned, party our asses off in Philly, take about a 20 minute cat nap at some point, then head straight to Lincoln Financial Field to watch the Eagles obliterate the Lions. Decent little weekend there waiting for us, but before we get to championship weekend we have the semifinals coming up this weekend in New York. The Whipsnakes already advanced to the final game so this weekend at Red Bull Arena it’ll be the Redwoods vs Chaos in the semifinal. Before that game there will also be the Chrome vs Archers. Winner of that game goes on to play the Atlas next weekend for the 1st overall draft pick. Regardless, there are only 4 more games left this year so soak ‘em in, boys.

P.S. – I know there are plenty of you out there who don’t listen to the podcast and there are plenty of you out there who don’t care about lacrosse. But we work our ass off for the show. We record, edit, book guests, promote, do everything on our own without any resources from Barstool so it’s something that means a lot to us. And to be able to do a live show for the biggest weekend of the PLL season is something we’re really proud of. So if you don’t care then that’s fine, but just know that we’re not going to stop anytime soon.
