Dirk Nowitzki Continues To Be The Absolute Best

The title of this blog really says it all. Dirk is the best. In fact, he may be one of the few NBA superstars that is legit universally liked. Imagine hating Dirk? I’m pretty sure even Heat fans are cool with him because that 2011 title run was so badass. Throughout his whole career Dirk always seemed to be a humble, self aware guy who just so happened to be one of the best players the NBA has ever seen. He is famous for getting fucked up with Steve Nash in the early internet days on one night, and then dropping 30 the next. Take this tweet for example. Dirk isn’t trying to be funny or go viral, I bet he really thought that. Sure maybe the entire city of Dallas has been waiting for Zeke given his extension news, but I bet some people who were there at the airport were pumped to see Dirk. I know I would be. The guy is a living Dallas legend for crying out loud. Dirk still puts Dallas asses in seats I have no doubt.

Maybe he does still have it? I mean my body and joints hurt just watching that clip but you know what, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Dirk at the end of last season. You know Cuban has a spot on this roster for Dirk if he ever wants it, and now with Year 2 Luka and a healthy Porzingis I say let’s revisit this at the All Star break. The NBA and the world can never have enough Dirk.
