Senior Justice Department Official Resigned Because He Watched Porn On A Government Computer

(The Hill)–A senior Justice Department official has resigned after the department’s inspector general found that the employee used government computers to view porn.

The Justice Department’s Office of the Inspector General said it launched an investigation in response to allegations that a deputy assistant attorney general “had been observed viewing sexually explicit images” on a government computer.

The office said its investigation later proved the allegation to be true, which is a violation of the department’s policies. The inspector general disclosed details of the case in an investigative summary released Thursday.

I feel bad for this guy. I feel like I know EXACTLY how this happened. The DOJ has been after Trump since seemingly before he even took office. If you’re a senior official in the Dept of Justice you probably haven’t gone one single day without hearing about the President and Russian hookers, the President and wild swinger parties, the President and Stormy Daniels. You are brow beaten with porn and sexually illicit content every day until he just couldn’t take it anymore and got curious. “Hmm, I wonder what Stormy Daniels even looked like. Better research it…for work”. Then someone comes in and you’ve got multiple browsers open and all of a sudden you’re the porn freak at the office. Terrible look. Can’t recover from that. Not only can’t you recover but you’re probably fired.

It’s one of those stories that makes me realize how lucky I am to be working at Barstool Sports. The Chicago office does a lot of blogging from home and we in general have a very lax porn at work policy. Nobody is getting fired for porn or for forgetting to close certain tabs before you open your computer again in the podcast studio. It’s no big deal. In fact…if you’re the porn at work guy you might just turn into one of the legends of the company.
