The First Luka Doncic Workout Video Has Hit The Internet And It Screams The Mavs Are Making The Playoffs
We haven’t seen much from Luka on the internet since he won ROY, but by the looks of that open run video we can confirm he is still very good at basketball. The best way I can describe Luka’s game is he just looks so goddamn smooth. Never in a rush, always in control giving off vibes like he’s been in the league for 10 years. Remember before he got drafted there was bullshit out there that his game wouldn’t translate to the NBA? The most decorated European player maybe ever at his age came right in and dominated from the jump.
That video gave us pretty much Luka Bingo. Smooth jumper? Check. Lobs? Check. Creative passing? Check. Cockiness towards a defender? Check. This wasn’t against a bunch of scrubs either, there was some NBA talent in that run as well as the legend that is Monta Ellis

I’m not sure if this is a hot take, but if Porzingis comes back and is 100%, I think you combine that with Luka’s Year 2 jump and this Mavs team could be a sneaky 8 seed. At the very worst they’ll be one of the teams we saw last year compete for that 9-7 range. They’re projected to have around 41 wins which is the 9th most in the West, so they could very well be an injury or two away from cracking the top 8. They just need to figure out how to win on the road, 9-32 last year is pretty terrible, only to be outdone by the Suns who were 7-34. Getting a big sophmore year from Luka can go a long way to fixing that issue, and from the looks of things that’s exactly what we’re about to get.
