We’ve had some great college football names throughout the years. Lil’Jordan Humphrey. Rock Ya-Sin. Big Kat Bryant. Kobe Buffalomeat. The name game is about to change forever thanks to the first 6-star recruit to ever come out of a little state named Louisiana:

At the current time, De’Coldest Crawford does not have his 247Sports or Rivals rating, but over at the Barstool Sports Recruiting Service, we have him as a 6-star:

Crawford, listed at 6-foot-1, caught 18 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns last season, per MaxPreps. Green Oaks made the playoffs for the first time in two seasons. Crawford enters his sophomore campaign with reported offers from Southern University and Southern Miss, and the wideout is expected to be one of the team leaders this season.

Southern Miss getting in early on this guy is brilliant. As a G5 team, you have to find little known guys to compete against the big guys. It’s the only way you can compete with the P5. De’Coldest could be a complete program changer for the Golden Eagles.
