The XFL Released Their Team Names And The Hype Videos Are AWESOME

What an awesome tweet. I think they hired Barstool Smitty to write these tweets, no joke. If I was him I’d be suing for stealing his style. “Seeking glory through grit. Victory through valor.” I’ve never been more fired up to watch guys like Trent Richardson and J. P. Losman play football in 2020.

Now let me say this- the team names ain’t like the old XFL. Gone are the days of the Xtreme, Outlaws, Maniax, Demons, Rage, etc. Those were very, very 2000 names. But with Vinny Mac trying to make the XFL a “real” league, they went with more generic names. The hype videos are FIREEEEEE though:

BattleHawks is easily the best name and logo combo. LA Wildcats easily the worst.

Will a league with NFL castoffs and D2 football players work? Probably not! Is Vince putting his life’s savings into it? Pretty much! Could it be the biggest flop since…well since the XFL? Absolutely. Is there a chance, a slim chance, it actually pans out? I mean…not really? But maybe? Possibly? In a million simulations, a new football league has to work once right? So it’s possible. Regardless, I’m a big DC Defenders fan and I can’t wait to watch every game. LFG.
