UFC Heavyweight Francis "The Predator" Ngannou Joins The Fast & Furious Franchise

Deadline- The ninth installment of Fast & Furious is getting more muscle with Francis Ngannou. The UFC fighter is joining Universal’s high-speed blockbuster franchise in a role that is being kept under wraps.

This isn’t the first UFC fighter to join the franchise. Gina Carano appeared in Fast & Furious 6 while Ronda Rousey came in swinging in Furious 7. Details for the yet-to-be-titled Fast & Furious 9 have yet to be released — but do audiences really need a summary? Just give us a handful of crazy, gravity-defying chase scenes and a couple of moments where the Rock goes head-to-head with someone and everyone will be happy.

Also known as Francis “The Predator” Ngannou, the UFC fighter #2 in the heavyweight division. Francis most recently beat Junior dos Santos with a 71 second knockout — making Francis have the most UFC finishes in the heavyweight division. Francis won his previous fight with a 26-second knockout over MMA Legend and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez in Phoenix Arizona on the UFC’s inaugural fight on ESPN.

The Fast & Furious franchise just got a whole lot more Fast…and Furious. Well, not really. Maybe, I guess! I don’t know. I’ve only seen the third one, ‘Tokyo Drift’, which everybody apparently hates and says doesn’t count.

I’m super stoked for Francis Ngannou, though, and think it’s pretty fucking awesome that he’s landing movie roles at all. As one of the scariest, most badass human beings on planet earth, he definitely deserves em, because who DOESN’T wanna see that dude mix it up with the ‘Fast’ crew now?! Imagine he lands one of those Alistair Overeem uppercuts, but the dude’s head actually pops off?

Here’s my real wish, though: Francis Ngannou holds the world record for having thrown the most powerful punch ever. It’s the equivalent of 96 horsepower, which is the same horsepower generated by a Ford Escort hitting you at top speed, SOOOOOOOO…do you see where I’m going here? I want Francis Ngannou to be cornered, literally, only to have a Ford Escort start driving towards him at full speed, and then I’d have him stop said Ford Escort with one punch. Like the Hulk’s “I’m always angry” moment from the first Avengers.

Make it happen, Vin Diesel! Make it happen!
