You're Damn Right I'm Taking Down The Free Throw Shooting Competition For Money At The Borgata

The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa is show

AC -New Jersey gambling regulators have given permission to The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa to host a skill-based gambling event: a basketball contest. According to the Washington Post, The Borgata will host a basketball contest on March 21st, in which participants will shoot free throws for money. The buy-in for the competition will cost $20. Contestants will shoot free-throws during 90-second rounds. The top-four finalists will split $10,000 and the winner will get $5,000. “This is a first step, something we’ve never been ableuntil now,” said Borgata Senior Vice President Joe Lupo. “A year from now, you’ll probably see a lot more of these skill-based tournaments or even games on the casino floor.” Lupo says anyone can play as long as you’re 21 or older, including NBA players. In fact, Lupo went as far as to say he hopes LeBron James would play.

Great. Physical challenges for cold hard cash is now legal. Just another great effort by AC to contribute to the demise of Smitty. Every time I see a pop and shot at the bar it turns into a $20/game battle royale. I don’t care if there are NBA players participating, I’m taking this shit down (assuming I don’t get hacked from the rafters). I can’t wait to see all the street ball characters who show up at this thing. You’re stationary shooting a basketball and there will be cats who show in in full uni’s – Mesh shorts, tanks, headbands, Iverson sleeves. The works. Actually, screw Reggie Miller, Jimmy Chitwood or anyone off the team from that movie Pleasentville, Philly legend Herb Mcgee needs to be in this thing and allow me to hammer money on his presence. The Shot Dr. doesn’t miss. Ever.

If you ask me to create my own shot I will tell you to jump off a bridge, but if I’m wide open it’s essentially NBA Jam/white Dad fire every single time. Slick Jack City.
