Elite Dad And Phillies Fan Has A Baby In One Hand And Catches A Foul Ball In The Other
The Philadelphia Phillies men’s professional baseball team stinks. They’ve dropped 2 out of 3 in each of their last 4 series, and they lost again last night 6-1 in Arizona. But for as bad as the team has been lately, the fans continue to be elite.
It’s moments like this one right here when I think it would be pretty kick ass to have a baby in my life. Because Dad Strength isn’t limited to just physical strength. Dad Strength gives you that extra little boost in all areas of life. Like if this dude didn’t have a baby in his hands, there’s a good chance that he ends up looking like that bozo Rangers fan who ended up dousing the entire row in front of him with loaded nachos whilst making the catch on a foul ball and ended up looking like a jackass. Or even worse, there’s a good chance that he could have just missed the ball completely and ended up looking like an idiot. But because he has a baby in his hands, the Dad Strength immediately kicked in and he made that one-handed snag with ease. Now he looks like a total bad ass. Not only did he not end up getting the kid injured, but he made a perfect play on the ball and he probably just won himself a ton of brownie points with the wife. Doesn’t get any better than that, aside from the whole “having to sit there and watch the Phillies suck” portion of the night.

Anyway, I think I’ve made up my mind. From now on whenever I go to a sporting event, I’m bringing a baby. It doesn’t need to be my own baby. Maybe somebody out there is looking to lend me a baby for an afternoon. But I’m not going to another sporting event without a baby because I need these moments in my life.
