The New Celtics Keep Filling My Heart With Joy And They Haven't Played One Second Of Basketball Yet
I don’t know about you, but these last few days have been just what the doctor ordered when it comes to getting me through this slow period on the NBA schedule. Yesterday we were blessed with some live footage of some Team USA practices, and today we were blessed with some quality King Of The Court action as well as a photo that without a doubt will warm the hearts of every living breathing Celtics fan.
They say a picture is worth 1,000 words and believe me I could whip up that many words about this picture without breaking a sweat but I won’t. I’ll contain myself and just say this. Everything we all hoped for in terms of the Team USA group seems to be coming true. They are bonding
they are forming chemistry, they appear to actually like each other, it’s hard to not get excited about what we’ve seen leak out from the first two days of Team USA activities. But here’s the thing, it’s not just this group! We’ve seen our beloved rookies over the last few days give us some quality material as well. It’s becoming harder and harder with each passing day to not love these dudes. Who knows how all this will translate to the court once things actually get started for real, there are still the same questions today that there were a month ago. But given what we all witnessed last year, this is so refreshing to see. A team that hated each other like poison last year seems to have new life and to me that’s one of the biggest parts to any success they have next season. Who knows what their ceiling will end up being, I just feel like all we really want as fans is to enjoy watching this team play. That was taken from us last season and it sucked. To get to that point it all starts with chemistry and guys who buy in, and everything we’ve seen up until this point tells us that’s happening.
