We're Doin Tears To End The Day: Ohio State Hoops Freshman Surprises His Mom In Senegal, Seeing Her For The First Time In 3 Years

The late great Jimmy V once famously said you had a full day if you laugh, cry and think. Well, hopefully this site made you laugh at least once today and now we’re doing the crying part. I don’t know if it’s me being older, getting ready to be a dad or what, but any time I see these reunion videos I get some tears.

This time it comes courtesy of Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann who tweeted out this video of freshman Ibrahima Diallo surprising his mom in his home country of Senegal. It’s the first time they saw each other for 3 years. I love it. This is starting to become somewhat of a tradition in hoops with more international guys coming over early to play prep/high school here and college:

I will say I did laugh a bit at the beginning of the video. Just something sneaky funny about a 6’10” dude hiding against a wall like no one can see him. He’s gotta be one of the easiest dudes to find in Senegal.

Either way, just an awesome video and a good way to end the day.
