Bitch tit city!

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) Alex Rodriguez has been banned for 211 games by Major League Baseball for his part in the sport’s latest performance-enhancing drugs scandal. The New York Yankees star is expected to appeal, meaning he’ll be free to make his season debut Monday night in Chicago. The third baseman was linked during the offseason to Biogenesis, the Floridaanti-aging clinic accused of distributing PEDs. A-Rod denied all ties to the clinic and its operator, Anthony Bosch, after the Miami New Times published its bombshell report in January. Bosch agreed to cooperate with MLB’s probe in June. “(A-Rod) pretty much ruined the sport,” one fan told 1010 WINS’ Steve Sandberg. “He made the Yankees look bad, he made himself look bad, he made his fans look bad, it’s bad for publicity, it’s bad for himself and he really let a lot of people down.  No. He actually shouldn’t be playing at all, for that matter.”  The 38-year-old is coming off a second hip surgery and will have four years and $86 million remaining on his contract after the 2013 season. The ban will reportedly cost him about $35 million — less if overturned in arbitration.

Well you can go ahead and chalk this up as a huge win for Arod, and huge, huge loss for MLB and the Yankees. For the past week Bud Selig threatens the “best interest of the game clause.” Threatens a lifetime ban. Sounds like he was finally gonna sack up and put Arod in his place. Prevent any sort of appeal process and potentially keep him off the field forever.

And then the time comes and they fold like a house of cards yet again. Arod’s unprecedented punishment is handed down on the same night he makes his season debut. If thats not indicative of how fucking soft Major League Baseball is, I don’t know what is. Arod spent all week basically negotiating his own fucking punishment and it looks like he won. No voiding of his contract, no lifetime ban, and he actually will play tonight as he embarks on an appeal that he’ll no doubt win in some fashion. I’m not saying he’ll get off completely, but theres no doubt in my mind that an arbiter will meet somewhere in the middle on this case. The week began with best case scenario being a suspension through 2014, and tonight its the absolute worst case scenario. Arod will probably get it knocked down to 100 games and go back to collecting that fat ass contract of his. Nice work Bud!

PS – If Arod just embraced the Bad Guy Villain role I think the next year could be absolutely awesome. Imagine if he went yard tonight and pissed right in everyone’s eye? Just blasting home runs when everyone knows he was blatantly doing juice like yesterday. He’s probably doing so much juice and HGH right now because whats the worst that can happen? He should bash PED dingers all over the league and just embrace the hate. He’s too much of a pussy to do that, but goddam that would be fun.

PPS – How pissed is Cashman?
