According To Grant Williams The Celtics Might Be Facing The Brooklyn Bitch Boy On Christmas

Well isn’t that interesting. This little chat is from the other day when Grant Williams and Tacko went to go see Liverpool at Fenway and if you listen closely you can hear a pretty significant nugget. As far as I can tell the league hasn’t announced the 2019-20 schedule so I’m not sure how Grant knows this information but he doesn’t seem like the type of guy to lie

So why is this important? Well if you remember outside of the season opener two years ago when Hayward destroyed his ankle, Kyrie missed every other game against his former team. Maybe part of that was because the Cavs stunk and the team wanted to use it for some load management, but it’s certainly weird that after demanding his way out Kyrie always seemed to miss those games. I think we’re all under the assumption that he’s most likely going to try and do the same against the Celtics given how his tenure ended. Would anyone be shocked if he missed those games? I wouldn’t.

This is why I need this to be true, and I need the game to be played in Boston. We know there’s NO WAY Kyrie sits out a game on Christmas. He needs all the attention that comes with Christmas Day games just like every other NBA star. What better way to ensure we get to see him play the Celts in Boston and not use it as “load management” than to put that game on Christmas. Last season the Celts didn’t play BKN for the first time until 1/7, so they can definitely find a way to make sure the first time these two teams play is on 12/25. Think of the ratings if that’s one of the primetime games, then add in some drunk angry Celtics fans and I’m getting giddy just thinking about it.

So please, everyone pray to the Basketball Gods that this isn’t just a rumor and actually happens. It’s perfect.
