I'm Pretty Sure This Horse That Was Swallowed By A Sinkhole And Then Won A Race 12 Days Later Is The Best Athlete In The World

[ESPN] - Just 12 days after falling into a sinkhole, 6-year-old Mr Changue was victorious in his first race back, winning at Fort Erie Race Track in Ontario, Canada, on Tuesday.

The horse made it out relatively unharmed and was able to power its way to victory under jockey Kirk Johnson in the undercard for the Prince of Wales Stakes, the second leg of Canada’s Triple Crown.

Secretariat, American Pharoah, Alright Frankie, Weird Haircut Seth and now Mr. Changue. The top of the top when it comes to all-time horses. I mean what a ridiculous story. First of all, sinkholes are fucking terrifying. We have a long run of sinkhole stories here at Barstool

Now think about going out and competing less than 2 weeks later and winning. Look at this guy.

I’d argue this is tougher than winning the Triple Crown. I can’t think of a Triple Crown winner or hell even an athlete that got stuck in a sinkhole while eating only to keep on competing. This horse really got the heart and is what we like to call gritty.

Sinkholes are fucking terrifying, I don’t care what you think. Glad to see Mr. Changue is doing well and winning races. The real question is what were his odds to win that last race, had to be a no-brainer bet.
