DaBaby Absolutely SNAPPED On His XXL Freshman Cypher

Every year I look forward to these XXL Freshman Cyphers and every year they unfortunately keep getting worse and worse and worse. Less lyricism and less effort has been the pattern as the years have gone by. DaBaby changed all that this year with an absolute HEATER of a verse on his very up and down cypher group.

It leads off with Lil Mosey who I don't think could have possibly been more underwhelming if he fell asleep mid verse. Maybe the worst freestyle in the history of XXL Freshman lists. Just awful. Literally didn't put the slightest bit of effort into it. Claimed the beat was trash and then got followed up by Megan Thee Stallion who murdered it. This beat was literally made for her rapping style. Super fast and up tempo and she dropped some serious bars on that bitch.  Props to her for keeping some truth to the #BarsStillMatter movement.

Next is YK Osiris who couldn't have been more lost when this beat came on. He didn't know what the fuck to do to once he got the mic. In his defense he's a singer and this beat just didn't match his style at all. It couldn't have been a worse fit and he ended up mumbling so badly at the end and couldn't have been quicker to dip the fuck outta there and hand the mic over to DaBaby. Here is the first video that really put me on to YK Osiris. I had never heard of him but I saw him sing a-cappella in gas station in this video with instagram star Einerbankz and his voice sounds amazing.

Lastly we have DaBaby, who decided spazz the fuck out on this beat. Everyone else did like 30-40 seconds and DaBaby said fuck all that I'm just gonna keep rapping until I feel like stopping. Is it a prepared verse? Is it from a song that isn't released yet? Yeah so what who gives a fuck. I'd rather someone come out and put some effort in when they get recognized on a big stage than show up unprepared and sound like dog shit. This is a chance to show people who may not have heard you before what you can do with that mic in your hand. Bring that fire!

Also I think our guy Trill Withers may be on to something when it comes to DaBaby and Patrick Mahomes

I think both parties should seriously consider this. Mahomes is about to be a VERY rich man in a few years this could be a very lucrative transaction for DaBaby. If this goes down I think Trill is owed at least 5-10 percent of the selling price. It's only fair.
