In super shitty leadership fashion, the commanding General of fort Bragg strips his soldiers of participating in an event that is sanctioned by the state of North Carolina. Is it rough? Yes. Is it rowdy? Of course. It’s it gloried bum fighting which lets people have a great time for 3 hours? A little bit. But it’s not “dangerous.” It doesn’t take away from the valor or reputation from the dudes fighting. It’s fun. This is just another example of high level leaders failing to connect with their junior troops. Want to boost morale on fort Bragg while many of their service members are deployed? Reach out and get your people more involved. Accept the offer of free tickets for some units. Don’t pull the rug out from under your lower level battalion and company level leaders by forbidding your soldiers from participating hours before the fucking fight.
We would never allow active duty people to embarrass the Military. Hell, we don’t even allow junior active enlisted troops to come on ZBT and refuse to tag them on Instagram for their protection. Barstool respects the military and our actions for 15 years have proven that.
