Damian Lillard Says His Series-Winning Shot Against The Thunder 'Was For Seattle' Because He's Trying To Murder A City

We all remember this shot. It gave us one of the iconic moments of the NBA playoffs. Lillard drilling a 37-footer to end the series against the Thunder and then waving as he walked off. It’s still an awesome moment to watch:

But, this is Damian Lillard we’re talking about. This dude gets himself into spats all the time because he doesn’t back down from shit. I mean take a look at some of these headlines just in the past few months:

The Dame vs Russ rivalry has been going on for years. So needless to say this shot and reaction stems from that. But, now he’s just straight up trolling the entire Thunder organization.

He pretty much destroyed the organization as is. It was the 3rd year in a row the Thunder couldn’t get out of the 1st round of the playoffs. Throw in some other wrinkles and you have Paul George moving on. Because of that and tied in to a terrible contract and the lack of playoff success you have the Thunder willing to part from Russ. They are starting over because of Dame.

But, he also is reminding them that they stole an organization from Seattle. So shout out Dame. That’s for Seattle.
