First off, Gary Sheffield is on my Mount Rushmore of players you do not want to fuck with. Like why even bother with it? It starts with Carmona hitting Sheffield. He hits him on the elbow pad inside, but Gary obviously takes offense to it. Takes his slowwwwww walk to first, while holding the bat still, starring out at Carmona, Carmona staring back. Yada yada yada. Sheff gets to first and finally gives up the bat. Carmona steps on the rubber, stares into home plate, and then fires to first. Gary did not like that and motions for him to throw it home. More words are exchanged and we are off. Sheffield charges him, Carmona throws his glove, we get a headlock and some punches, and then both dugouts engulf the two players and they're outta sight. Fight actually lasts a decent length too, and we actually see some punches thrown, not just pushing and shoving. Like I said above, Gary is not one of the guys I'd want to mess with. I get why he was mad, what I don't get is why Carmona is trying to throw over to first. Did he think a 39 year old Gary Sheffield was a threat to steal? And he really chucked that thing in there too.
