For The Love Of God Will Someone PLEASE Tell Stephen A Smith Who The Lakers Missed Out On By Waiting On Kawhi

This clip has my brain in a big time preztel. On one hand I cannot get enough when it comes to Stephen A Smith losing his shit on his radio show. He’s the GOAT for a reason and every time we are gifted one of these moments it’s always very entertaining. Right from the jump he wasn’t having that callers take and he demanded an answer to the point where it was too much for him to handle. I am always in favor in anything that is going to get Stephen A all worked up. I won’t go so far as to say this was the greatest Stephen A rant, he for sure has had better, but this was certainly up there for me. He was just flat out disgusted that this caller would bring that trash onto his national radio show and refuse to answer the question. Stephen A doesn’t have time for that bullshit.

But on the other hand, as someone who hates the Lakers with every fiber of my being, it pains me deeply to say Stepehn A has a point. This statement is something we on the internet love to say, but who did they really miss out on? They addressed their shooting needs with guys like Danny Green/Avery Bradley. They brought back a defender in KCP, a reliable point guard in Rondo, and Boogie is a low cost big name that you would think would be better with another year under his belt post achilles injury. Sure maybe they missed out on big names like Horford or something if they were even interested, but it’s not like they were forced to sign nothing but scrubs because they were waiting on Kawhi and he dicked them over like the hero he is. If you look at other options like Brogdon, Rozier, Harrison Barnes, etc none of those dudes really make all that much sense given their price tag and the years that were required in order to sign them. I think the Lakers can live with not signing Seth Curry or WCS or anyone like that. Their Plan A was Kawhi (as it should have been), and once that wasn’t an option they responded fairly well. Again, I hate this fucking team and even I can admit that. Credit to me for being the bigger person.

But in the end, I don’t care if it’s a correct take or not, I just need more people to call into this radio show and make Stephen A lose his shit because when that happens we all win.
