Andrew Heaney Wonderfully Honored Tyler Skaggs Tonight By Throwing Skaggs' Vintage Big Curveball For His First Pitch

Well that was very, very cool. Now my first gut reaction (yours probably too) was how on Earth was that not called a strike. But it’s very clear that George Springer knew the pitch was coming, as did the umpire, and it was going to be a ball no matter what. Still, should’ve just called it a strike, I mean come on blue!

Nevertheless, that’s an awesome way to honor your teammate. Well done by everyone, especially Springer.

RIP Tyler. This is all still so sad.
