Grading the Newest Sex Scandal

I’m giving you a lot of reading material. This is straight from my hometown, and believe it or not, I actually had Ms. Boster as a teacher 17 years ago during her first year as a student-teacher.
I’ve included copies of all of the local newspaper articles from the outset of Ms. Boster’s initial arrest, to her “not guilty” plea, to her “guilty” plea to multiple felony charges, to her sentencing hearing. LOTS of details, my friend. …

Ohio (Note: Not the greatest link) – A local teacher has admitted to having sex with a student 20 to 25 times, including at least twice inside Marysville High School.
Stacy L. Boster McConoughey, 39 … said she understood the allegations against her as well as the possible penalties. …
Court documents detailed the relationship between McConoughey and the student, who was 18 at the time of the
allegations. The student was in McConoughey’s class and served as a classroom aide when she “initiated a relationship with the student. …
“McConoughey told the student that he had a sex addiction and confided in the student that she suffered from a sex addiction as well.” The teacher began communicating with the student each morning and “became very flirtatious with him,” court documents state. …
“The two continued to text inappropriately until she picked up the student,” according to court documents. The pair went to a gas station to purchase condoms, then went to an apartment complex where McConoughey used to live in Franklin County so they could be alone. They had sex inside the teacher’s car in the apartment complex parking lot.
“The teacher continued to text the student later that night,” according to court documents. “He woke up the next
morning with a good morning text from her.”
On another occasion, the pair drove to Pine Lane in Marysville and had sex in the teacher’s car.
“The two began having sex frequently,” according to court documents. “The student estimated that the defendant engaged in sexual intercourse with him 20 to 25 times.” Not all the encounters occurred in the woman’s car. McConoughey admitted that on at least one occasion the pair had sex in her room at Marysville High School. On another occasion, they had sex in the school’s yearbook room.
McConoughey would also use social media apps to send the student pictures of herself. Eventually the student’s girlfriend went to McConoughey’s room to confront her about the affair. The victim told McConoughey he didn’t think his girlfriend would ever tell authorities about the relationship. He apparently told the teacher he had erased all evidence of their behavior off his phone.
On May 14, however, the student reported to a guidance counselor that he had been having an affair with the teacher.
Thank you, anonymous SSToolie. It’s readers like you that are the unsung heroes. Out there on the front lines. Doing their due diligence every day to make sure a story like Stacy L. Boster McConoughey’s story does not go uncelebrated. I humbly admit that there is nothing “Newest” about this particular Sex Scandal Teacher I’m Grading today because her guilty plea came during the two year window I was at WEEI. So I feel I owe it to this reader and former student of Stacy’s to make amends. I only wish you could’ve gotten whatever attention from this self-proclaimed sex addict you desired. Be that academic or … otherwise.
In the meantime, accept the thanks of a grateful nation. I hope it’s enough.
The Grades:
Looks: I feel like the first half of 2019 has been quite a solid one for the Gingers, who traditionally have been underrepresented in the ranks of SSTs. They’re a polarizing bunch for sure. There’s a rule of thumb that says they’re at the extremes. Either they’re Karen Gillan or they’re Raggedy Anne. Stacy is proof that there are some that exist somewhere in that vast divide in between. This will be a controversial grade, I have no doubt. But since I’m partial to the redheads, I’m giving her a solid
Grade: B-
Moral Compass/Bad Judgment: They say in marketing you should never oversell and under deliver. This SSToolie did neither of those things. This is one SST who lived up to the hype. Sex 20 to 25 times. Car sex. Class room sex. The rare instance of Yearbook Room sex. Flirting across multiple apps. A nice “morning after” text. A love triangle for crying out loud. All in a nice box with the lovely wrapping paper of an admission of guilt. He said I’d love it and he was not wrong.

Intangibles: Miss McConoughy. Well alright, alright, alright. That’s the thing about being a Sex Scandal Teacher. She gets older, and the 18 year old students she bangs? Stay the same age.
